This is a post I wrote a few weeks ago explaining my heart behind this blog. I hope you are encouraged!

Story behind the name, Lovingly Led...

I am not a writer by any means. You can check my blog for grammatical errors and find PLENTY. I write with incomplete and run-on sentences and use plenty of "no no's" in the "English language" world of do's and don'ts.  I do not feel like God has called me to be a writer but I do feel he has called me to share

The Lord has been so gracious to teach me A LOT in my short lifetime and He has not asked me to hoard it.  So here I am attempting to share hard lessons, recipes, helpful advice for kids, tips for cooking, cleaning and organizing and , OH YEAH, everyday life.
The name...

My affections for the Lord are often stirred when I listen to worship music. This song has been a theme lately in our lives.

Lyrics

Verse #1
You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown, where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep, my faith will stand
Chorus:
And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours, and You are mine
Verse #2
Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You've never failed, and You won't start now
Chorus:
So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours, and You are mine
Bridge:
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior x 3
Ending:
I will call upon Your name
Keep my eyes above the waves
My soul will rest in Your embrace
I am Yours, and You are mine
I am Yours, and You are mine
I am Yours, and You are mine
I am Yours, and You are mine

"Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me"

The Lord leads and has led me for the past seventeen years. I have resisted and embraced, celebrated and wept, repented, forgiven and learned that it is much easier to embrace Him than resist. The Lord is sovereign and HIS story is my story. I can join in or go my own way and leave joy behind. I have chosen joy. I have chosen to glorify Him with my life and in that I do find my greatest joy...Him.

He is a gracious God who has led me in a loving manor. He has given me a wonderful husband that leads me as well. I am "lovingly led" from moment to moment and given grace I do not deserve. I will fail and fall but I will get back up. HE is worth it.

May the words above be the cry of my heart. May I ALWAYS plead to the Lord to "lead" me in His great adventure. May my heart always say, "Wherever you call me I will go," and may He lovingly lead me until my last breath.
